Pearls of Wisdom
I wish I could say that I'm excited about it being Monday and that I'm ready to tackle this new week. However, I am dog tired and ready for a nap at 7 am. My weekend was looooooong. I had a great time but lawd have mercy on my poor soul and swollen feet. Although I exfoliate and don't look a day over 20, lol my body surely disagrees. Last week was crazy busy, I spent Friday and Saturday catering, Friday evening I went to a concert and dinner with friends. Crawled into bed around 2 am and was back up at 6 to resume cooking, worked out for 2 hours, ran errands, cleaned the house and hosted the first Cooking, Cocktails and Conversation at my house. You can watch the whole thing here
Sunday I worked majority of the day and attended a birthday brunch. I am one exhausted broad.
To say I'm a perfectionist is an understatement, especially when it comes to my creative side. Cooking, home interior, fashion will cause me to bust a vessel trying to get it right. This look almost A. almost sent me on to glory and B. almost didn't happen. The initial try on was great. I thought we had a winner. But once on set, I couldn't put my finger on it but something just wasn't right. I spent almost an hour shooting this one look before I realized that I hated the shirt being tucked into the jeans. As dope as these jeans are, they are a cross between mom and high waisted jeans and that just doesn't look flattering at all. I look like I had a FUPA (if you don't know what that is google it) a flat ass and the hips of a 12 year old boy. It was the absolute worst. Finally I realized that the shirt had to be untucked for the win. Although it wasn't my original creation, it worked out in the end
