I know that I'm always preaching that there are no rules in fashion. Don't look at these as rules.... more like the fashion law. Fashion is meant to be fun, it's supposed to evolve and it is should be personal. The problem with fashion today is it lacks individuality. It seems that most people are being driven by labels and what's trending. That is the wrong choice. When shopping for your wardrobe you want to ensure that you are making choices that won't waste your money, waste closet space, waste your time. You want to ensure that you're making choices that will be beneficial to your wardrobe in the long run, not just in the now.
1. Choose Wisely.... Try purchasing all of your basic pieces before venturing into trends and fast fashion.
Taking chances is what fashion is all about. Fashion isn't meant to be boring, it is meant to be expressive and bold. There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing an unexpected fashion moment come together seamlessly. Walking in a braver sense of self is the first way to own your personal style. Take a chance on fashion because it is far more brave to be who you are than to hide behind what society thinks you should be. What's the worse that could happen???? You make a fashion mistake, you get it wrong, you look back later and think WTF was I wearing. No one was hurt no one died you live to conquer another fashion day. No one ever changed the world being comfortable.
2. Take Chances.... Try mixing prints and pairing unexpected colors together like red and chartreuse and stripes and animal print.
Changing up your look is imperative. If you've been stuck in a rut or have been wearing the same silhouette for years it's time to shake things up. You wouldn't eat the same foods every single day or watch the same television show every day so why would you practice redundancy when it comes to your style.
You evolve in every aspect of your life, why would your style not be apart of the evolution. Your style should be a reflection of where you are in life. Changing things up can be gratifying and uplifting.
3. Change up...... Try a new silhouette or style. Make sure it is practical for your lifestyle and body type.
