Day 1: How to Wear a Blazer

Hey loves,

Welcome to Monday! I'm a little emotional today because my son started the 11th grade today. I know it sounds super cliche but I'm not sure where the time went. Just yesterday he was eating goldfish crackers and playing with toy cars. Today he is still smashing the goldfish crackers but he towers over me with a deep voice. Sigh

I'm doing a 5 day series this week on how to wear a blazer inspired by one of my good girlfriends who thinks that blazers are stupid. I wanted to show you guys that blazers can be worn year round and they don't have to be boring and corporate.Blazers are most definitely a must in my wardrobe. They are one of my favorite articles of clothing and is a part of my signature style. A good blazer should be a staple piece in everyone's wardrobe. You should at least have a black, red, white and nude blazer for starters. What I love most about blazers is that they can be dressed up or down. They are very versatile..

Today I paired this red vintage blazer with a black lace bra and yellow full skirt. Without the blazer, the outfit wouldn't be as polished. The blazer adds a element of class and sophistication to what could have been a lackluster look. Pair your blazer with unexpected items for a look sure is sure to set you apart.

Below you will find the inspiration board I created to curate my look.

Fashion without style is like a pencil with no lead.... There is no point.
