Fade to Black

Hey loves,

I hope you all had a great weekend. My weekend was kind of epic!!! On Friday my girls and I went to see my fave signer Anthony Hamilton in concert. When I tell you he and Fantasia killed it, the show was everything!! On Saturday my best friend had a 90's themed birthday party. It was so much fun. I had a few too many drinks but a good time was had. LOL On Sunday I tried to recover from a hangover, did some retail therapy with my girls and celebrated Father's Day. My friends insisted I got out of the house because I was struggling with missing my dad. I'm glad I got out and didn't allow myself to wallow in sadness. I have an amazing group of friends. I did learn this weekend that I am no longer in my 20's and it takes a lot longer to recover after a night or 2 of partying.

I am so in love with this look, I look back on my fashion journey and I am in awe of how my style has evolved. Not to sound cocky but I impress myself sometimes. LOL But no seriously, I look at people who are spending hundreds of dollars on their clothes, running up credit cards to have designer labels and not paying bills to keep up with the Jones'. All of that for what?? IG likes and compliments. Chile bye....90% of my wardrobe was someone else's before it was mine. I love the thrift store and to be honest if I had 10 million in the bank I would still thrift. It's about the styling and how you create a look and not just wear an outfit.

In order to be stylish one must be ready to take risk. In this look I'm wearing a swimsuit as a top. I paired it these super whimsical pants and my fave black blazer.

Fashion without style is like a pencil with no lead.... There is no point.
