Thrift and Ye Shall Find

For those of you that know me or follow my blog, you are well aware that I am obsessed with thrifting. I have been thrifting since the 7th grade and I've found some of the most amazing pieces. My obsession with finding unique and vintage pieces started when we went through a rough financial time. My mom would take me through the Goodwill and I was bothered that I couldn't find the cool clothes my friends had. I would see things that they had but it was always a few seasons late. I decided that instead of looking for current clothes, I would set myself apart by wearing vintage because no one else would have it. And so a life of thrift addiction began. LOL

This weekend I went on a small thrifting trip with my cousin and found a few amazing goodies.  I think my favorite of all the pieces is the beaded skirt and Chanel blazer. What are some of your favorite thrifted items dolls?? Feel free to share in the comment section.

Bloggers Like Me BLMeetup ATL

Dolls,
Yesterday I had the privilege of attending the Bloggers Like Me Meet up with some of the lovely ladies from the BLM group. We met at this lovely cafe that I had never heard of (Mimi's) but will defiantly be visiting again. They had the most amazing french onion soup. OMG..... ok I'm sorry y'all know I'm a fat girl at heart. LOL The meet up was hosted by Dee Dee of MissFoodieFash. After going through the devastation of my blog name change I came across  the group and they have been nothing but welcoming and empowering. I was geeked to finally meet some of the ladies in person and I truly look forward to the next meet up.

I found my dress Saturday, the day before the meet up at Goodwill. I was out thrifting with my cousin and I came across this beauty and I swear my heart dropped. It was a size small and I prayed to the heavens that I could fit it. Yaaaaas... my juicing is working!!! I loooove thrifting, 5 dollars and a quick wash turned out this amazing look. I kinda lived for myself yesterday. LOL

Lovelies,
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was simply fabulous. My sister/cousin, my brother and nephew came in town. We always have a great time when we get together. It was my godson's 7th birthday and he wanted to come to ATL to celebrate. So celebrate we did!!! On his last day he wanted to play video games so we went to Brusnwick XL. After rushing in from one event and having to get dressed for his party I threw on my camo jacket and paired it with my new booties and a t shirt. I wanted to be casual but wasn't in the mood for a flat. This post is slightly picture heavy. Sorry!!!!!
